They also recommend doing 5-6 servings fruits and vegetables per day. Of course people are going to do more fruit and not vegetables. They also recommend 6 meals a day and frequent meals per day to prevent over-eating. This will increase insulin. Lots of people have done weight watchers but each time they do it - the body adjusts and adapts to the low calories and slows its metabolism. 1. The U.K. Government pays this company from our taxes to give membership to people who are overweight. Nobody I have known who has taken this up has ever lost much weight or kept it off afterwards(usually they end up even heavier than they were in the first place because their metabolism has been so wrecked).

Tax payers' money going to a useless private company raking in millions and making people fat in the process. They ought to be closed down at the very least and Oprah Winfrey and her fellow travellers should be locked up for fraud.

  2. I have done both and I lost weight on both but I enjoy the Keto diet better. However, I am nursing so keto has dropped my supply. Is there a way to continue keto? I also have imputed my healthy fats in the ww points and that increased my point value alot.

  3. I agree that a ketogenic diet is better for health and weight loss. Itโ€™s also what has worked the best for me personally. Following a higher fat diet has allowed me to feel full and satisfied which makes ALL the difference in the world in the sustainability of this way of life.

However, you are seriously misrepresenting the new Freestyle program. This diet does theoretically allow unlimited fruit, but also unlimited veggies and low fat protein (eggs, chicken breast, etc). Also WW DOES emphasize health. However, along with mainstream medicine, they are very misguided in determining which are the best guidelines to follow to get there. The people you see leading the meetings all over the country ARE people who have been successful using WW and are sincerely trying to help others have better health and better lives. I am eating Keto as per the advice of my doctor but attending WW meetings to weigh and and to celebrate my successes in weight loss and in improving my health. This is what is working for me, it helps my accountability. I donโ€™t see a conspiracy to keep people coming back. I see people trying to help each other.

  4. I destroyed my metabolism many years ago, when i followed a VERY low fat diet, where it was much better to eat sugar, than fat. I followed it for many years, and I lost weight, but I gained it all again, even more than before the diet.

  5. This is so true! In my twenties I ate Special K cereal and drank Slim Fast to stay thin. Now in order to keep in shape in my forties and after having children Keto is the only thing that works.

  6. wrong about the new WW program….. proteins, lean proteins are unlimited, fruit is 3-5 servings a day…..get the facts
